Supporting education at home and abroad
The Victoria Foundation manages and administers funds that support scholarships created by individual donors and by the British Columbia government through the BC Scholarship Society and the Youth Education Assistance Fund.
BC Scholarship Society
The BC Scholarship Society supports post-secondary education by providing scholarships for students attending public post-secondary institutions. The Society was formed in 2004 and was previously known as Irving K. Barber BC Scholarship Society (until October 2022). The Victoria Foundation administers the Society’s funds and programs. The Youth Education Assistance Fund
The Youth Education Assistance Fund provides education grants to young adults who were formerly in the care of the B.C. Ministry of Children and Family Development or an Indigenous Child and Family Service Agency. The endowment fund is a partnership between the Ministry of Children & Family Development, the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills, and the Victoria Foundation which manages the endowment. Individual Bursaries and Scholarships
Donors whose funds are managed by the Victoria Foundation have created a variety of individual scholarships. The educational institutions designated by the donors adjudicate them.
