The Victoria Foundation manages funds that support scholarships created by individual donors and by the British Columbia government through the Irving K. Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society and the Youth Education Assistance Fund.
Irving K. Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society
The Irving K. Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society supports post-secondary education by providing scholarships for students attending public post-secondary institutions. The society was formed in 2004 and named after the late philanthropist Irving K. Barber in recognition of his long-standing commitment to education. The Youth Education Assistance Fund
The Youth Education Assistance Fund provides education grants to young adults who were formerly in the care of the B.C. Ministry of Children and Family Development or a delegated Aboriginal agency. The endowment fund is a partnership between the Ministry of Children and Family Development, the Ministry of Advanced Education and The Victoria Foundation. The foundation manages the endowment. Applications are adjudicated through the Ministry of Advanced Education and the Ministry of Children and Family Development. Individual Bursaries and Scholarships
Donors whose funds are managed by the Victoria Foundation have created a variety of individual scholarships. The educational institutions designated by the donors adjudicate them. For information and applications, see the links in the list below:

Victoria Foundation – Donald Stewart Cameron Fund – Available for office administration students.
Edward Joseph Harrison Fund – Available for students in need of financial aid.
Momentum Bursary – Available for a Canadian single mother.
D & E MacLean – Available for tuition, or as "certificates" for day care, transportation and other costs for single parent students.
Victoria Foundation Chinese-Canadian Community Bursary – Available to Canadian citizens or landed immigrants who are of Chinese origin and are attending Camosun College.
Victoria Foundation Ruth Elina Carlson Entrance Bursary – Available to Canadian-born students who are enrolled in any of the following areas: Arts, Science, Education, Humanities, Business Administration or Technology.
Dance Victoria
There are two catagories of this award:
- Emerging dancers/choreographers who wish to pursue further studies at an accredited institution outside Canada.
- Mid-career dance artists who have a project (new dance work) or have developed a self-directed course of study outside Canada with a mentor or a dance company.

Victoria Foundation Ruth Elina Carlson Entrance Bursary – Available to Canadian born students who are enrolled in any of the following areas: Arts, Science, Education, Humanities, Business Administration or Technology.
Thompson Rivers University
Raymond and Marigold Patterson Bursary – Available to a student in the Adventure Guide Diploma program who is a resident of Alberta, BC, NWT or the Yukon. The successful recipient should have an interest in pursuing a career in mountain and/or river guiding.
University of Victoria
Ethel Dent Banks & Margaret Maunsell Bursary – Available for a female student continuing in either the Department of English or the Department of Writing.
Donald Nelson Gain Bursary – Available for a qualifying student in the Writing Department.
Daisie Thirlwall Scholarship – Available for students of the Faculty of Music.
The Victoria Foundation Chinese-Canadian Community Bursary – Available to Canadian citizens or landed immigrants who are of Chinese origin.
Victoria Foundation Ruth Elina Carlson Entrance Bursary – Available to Canadian-born students who are enrolled in any of the following areas: Arts, Science, Education, Humanities, Business Administration or Technology.
Vancouver Island University
