Scholarships

The Victoria Foundation manages and administers funds that support scholarships created by individual donors and by the British Columbia government through the Irving K. Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society and the Youth Education Assistance Fund.

Irving K. Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society

The Irving K. Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society supports post-secondary education by providing scholarships for students attending public post-secondary institutions. The Society was formed in 2004 and named after the late philanthropist, Irving K. Barber in recognition of his long-standing commitment to education. The Victoria Foundation administers the Society’s funds and programs. For information and application forms, visit the Irving K. Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society website.

The endowment fund is a partnership between the Ministry of Children and Family Development, the Ministry of Advanced Education and The Victoria Foundation. The foundation manages the endowment. Applications are adjudicated through the Ministry of Advanced Education and the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
