Discretionary Community Funds
To support charitable organizations that undertake projects in any of our five fields of interest. Review the guidelines before you talk to a Grants team member by calling 250.381.5532.
Deadlines: July 30 for charitable organizations that have not applied to the Foundation since 2005, and September 1 for charitable organizations that have submitted an application to the Victoria Foundation since 2005. We want to get to know you!
Provincial Funds
Adoption and Permanency
To raise awareness of the need for permanent out-of-care families and to promote and research best practices for reducing the number of BC's children and youth living in care.
Deadline: September 15 for full and research grants.
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Action Fund
To promote the prevention of FASD through caregiver and public education, and to support multi-year demonstration projects focusing on improving outcomes for people with FASD. (Not currently accepting applications).
Irving K. Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society (IKB)
The Irving K. Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society supports post-secondary education through scholarships for students attending post-secondary institutions. Spring deadlines vary: please see the link above.
Youth Education and Assistance Fund (YEAF)
To support for youth formerly in government care through bursaries for post-secondary education. Ongoing intake of applications in 2010.
